Doully Yang is a guitarist and singer-songwriter based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Born and raised in New York, Doully fell in love with the guitar at the age of 13. His ensuing years of youth were immersed in the music of guitar legends including that of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Johnson, and Pat Martino.

After being twice rejected from his dream school Berklee College of Music, Doully turned to Boston University for higher education. Despite being unable to pursue a degree in music, his passion and resolve for music never dwindled. In this time, his musical horizons were stretched like never before as he developed a newfound connection with the art of songwriting.

Doully's wide array of influences and experiences are channeled into songs that borrow from blues, rock, jazz, and folk  – all without ever losing a current pop sensibility. His writing touches on the things close to his heart: his insecurities, his relationships, and his faith. It walks the fine balance of being wholly relatable while staying remarkably honest to himself.

His love of performing and traveling has taken him to play venues all across the East Coast from the intimate settings of Club Passim in Cambridge, Massachusetts to rocking out on stage in front of an audience of 3,000 at the Rochester Convention Center in New York. Doully also plays guitar for the Boston University jazz combo and the Christian-rock band Philadelphia.
